¶*** MEETINGS CIRCLE
This is an experimental, non-hierarchical (digital) network concept, aiming to establish active & (a)live communication between members.
This is an experimental, non-hierarchical (digital) network concept, aiming to establish active & (a)live communication between members.
¶Reasons to start
- Enable continuous connection between dance art professionals in the CEEC
- Enable visibility of artists working in the CEEC
- Enable new international projects & expand existing ones within CEEC (such as co-productions, festival invitations, collaboration projects, research projects etc.)
- Share of know-how and other resource
- Grow CEEC market and expand to the global market
¶Principles
Solidarity:
Each of us does something for the community - such as: moderation of Digital coffee meetings, Pad moderation, sharing information, content etc.)
Sharing what we already have (time/ people, connections to organisation, connection to artists, festivals & spaces, knowhow & advice).
### <d> nothing about resources, like "mutual aid"? section currently sounds more like "Mutual assistance" to me
Self-governance:
Filling information on pads should be done by each organisation on their own, sharing PR information (Premieres, Festivals, Int. Events) on EIB Facebook group.
###? FB group?
### <d> sounds a bit watered down :)
Mutual care:
We will provide 6 months of support for technical questions, to adjust to the Pad system:
→ mailto:dance@pekinpah.com
### <d> also sounds water down :)
Self-sustainability:
The network should be sustainable without external fundings.
### why is this here?
Protocols:
We create clear protocols: to make things simple, effective & pleasurable.

¶→ SEEK PARTNERS
Gyorgy Szabo, Trafo, HU: There is a dance festival which wants to develop its international profile in the city of Veszprem. Veszprem is one of the official Cultural Capitals in 2023. It is gonna happen in the month of May in each year. The festival is interested in collaboraion in the region in that time. Contact: Gyorgy Szabo, Trafo
Festival of Veszprém happens on last week of May till 2023. I look for partners for presentations. So it means I would be interested in any initiative with international presentation that time. It is still unclear the regional role and program of the festival. I would inform you when this part of the concept is worked out. It seems possible to present only small and medium indoor productions and outdoor as well. The only exception is 2023.
