2014-2015; artist run space, with Lodewijk Heijlen, Ali Nazir Ali, Theo De Boermans & David Van Mieghem
Zellien, Turnhout, BE

After years of vacancy, BIN set up an artist run exhibition- and studio space in the old buildings of the Zellien Bathroom factory in the heart of Turnhout. The project hosted a series of exhibitions that covered a wide range of quality: we hosted expo's with works from artists such as Ann Veronica Janssens and Edith Dekyndt, over interactive installations with the Sandberg Institute and PXL MAD Facutly, collaborations with Storm Op Komst festival, De Warande and very local actors such as part-time art academy students and the hosting of Arab poetry nights with the cities asylum center.

Next to being a host, BIN was also an artistic laboratory that researched "norms and anomalies" in the arts. We created own works and exhibitions, like "Views from above", a expo on the melting and merging of the personal and public domain in internet culture. I co-curated this specific edition and contributed an artistic publication to it.
