THE LAST MEETING
2019; transdisciplinary worksession with Lodewijk Heijlen & Ans Mertens
organized at the Verbeke Foundation, Kemzeke, BE
"The Last Meeting, a gathering on computational governance" was a 10 day worksession organized in the context of the Verbeke Foundation. For 10 days we inhabited the outdoor sculpture park and set up a series of theoretical discussions interlaced with practical assignments. The focus was on reflection, process and collaboration, the end-goal is an exhibition and a publication. It was a meta-meeting—a meeting in which to consider the possibility of never again holding another meeting. It was, as we proposed, the last, final meeting.
I co-organized the event, co-curated the program and hosted the collective documention of the worksessions on the online platform. The project made use of 🔗E2H, developed by dcht00. Furthermore I took part in a workgroup that produced a protocol for "A Last Meeting" so to systematize the very organization of a gathering that is supposed to be the last one. My contributions in this project were inspired by my early work with CHT/Totalism.org, and more specifically by their 🔗roles and 🔗manual pages.
