When you walk in the depod of the Kringwinkel, after closure time, there is only the sound of the clocks ticking. Listening to time passing by was a highly alien experience in a place where time itself seemed to have become dense and tangible, packed in thick piles, wrapped in plastic foil, boxed into walls that are waiting to go to new selling points.
We recorded the sound of those clocks, made them into an audio piece and played it again in the depot, at the spot where the first stage of the sorting process takes place. The audience was invited to listen and walk alongside the random collection of stuff from that day, becoming a displaced spectator of commodities in transit, from one personal sphere to the other. ###
